Child Dental Benefit Schedule
Did you know - if your child is aged between 0-17, they may be eligible for the Child Dental Benefit Schedule through Medicare?
This means each eligible child receives a balance which can be used towards their dental treatment and routine check-ups.
At Smile Clinic, our friendly staff can notify you of their eligibility and balance, or you can check through Medicare.

EDS, GDS & PDS Forms Accepted
Smile Clinic accept appointments for all new patients, including those with current EDS (Emergency Dental Scheme), GDS (General Dental Scheme) or PDS (Pensioner Denture Scheme) forms though SADS (South Australian Dental Service).
When presenting to your appointment, ensure that you have your valid EDS/GDS/PDS form with you.

An EDS form is valid for 7 days from date of issue

A GDS form is valid for 4 months from date of issue (treatment must be completed within the 4 months)

A PDS form is valid for as long as stated on the form
For treatment under an EDS, GDS or PDS form, you will also be required to bring your current pensioner concession card (PCC) or a current Health Care Card (HCC) to your appointment.
A standard fee will be required on the day of treatment under an EDS form- which is stated on your form.
